The Pigeon Detectives, Fratellis, Zutons and CSS have all been announced to be headlining their own three night UK and Ireland tours for MTV as part of their “Brand Spanking New” tours. Some of the best names and up and coming names in the music biz will be making their way around the country, playing venues smaller than they normally do. The Cribs, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, Does It Offend You Yeah? and The Ting Tings have all been confirmed for the 2008 NME Awards 2008 Shockwaves tour. They’ll embark on a month long tour of debauchery, destruction and general childishness around the UK and Ireland throughout February next year.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £15.50 each, but are sure to sell out for most dates pretty quickly.

XFM have announced details of a string of Winter Wonderland UK Tour dates, with all sorts of megastars lined up to play some sensational gigs.

As with previous years, all dates are in aid of Shelter, the homeless charity.

Tickets go on sale next Friday (9th November) at 9am, but many of the headlining bands and XFM members can get them as soon as next Wednesday or Thursday by pre-registering or such like.
