Carl Barat’s new band Dirty Pretty Things (well, they’re not that new I guess) are set to play an intimate gig tonight.

The band will play at Highgate’s Boogaloo bar to celebrate the opening of a new photo exhibition featuring them - ‘Come Closer: Dirty Pretty Things as seen by Roger Sargent‘.

The band will be jetting off to LA after the gig to start recording their second album.

I’m unsure at the moment of how to get tickets for this gig, but assume the majority will be available on the door.

Pop / indie cross-over extrodinaires Kaiser Chiefs have announced that they’ll be playing an exclusive show for Vodafone’s TBA.

The show will take place somewhere in Blackpool, with the venue being announced on the day. To win tickets you’ll have to enter one of two draws on the 30th or 31st August (this Thursday and Friday) on the Vodafone Music website.

However even if you don’t win tickets it’ll be shown on channel 4, so don’t worry.

Everyone’s favourite Staines four-piece, Hard-fi, have announced a “secret” tour around the UK later this month.

Tickets will be made available via a lottery on their website here. This will ensure apparently that its all fair. So they say.

Athlete have announced that they will be playing a “secret” low key gig in South East London next Thursday, 5th July. Apparently the venue is easily accessibly by bus, DLR and British Rail. Full details of the location of the gig will be sent out with the tickets a few days before the event.

200 tickets will be available from their official website at 9am tomorrow (Tuesday 26th June).

The awesome Irish indie rock band Ash will will warm up for their set at Isle of Wight Festival with a performance at the Year Zero club night at Camden’s Proud Gallery.

They’ll be supported by The Films and Goldspot.

Tickets are available to their myspace fans, competition winners on XFM and Radio 1, and also to those who queue up (though I’d probably start about 5pm tomorrow - its sure to be a big one!)
