Hydro Connect Festival’s lineup gets better…

Source: theregoesthefear.com

Hydro Connect Festival LogoI always said that There Goes The Fear wouldn’t be another festival news site, sticking with gigs and tours. However, one festival has caught my eye for the second year running… the Hydro Connect Festival.

In rural Scotland, it has a simply amazing lineup over the last weekend in August, with all the bands below playing… which is pretty much a who’s who of my favourite bands. Now, if they just added Delays I’d be happy!!

Just look at this lineup…

Franz Ferdinand
Kasabian
Bloc Party
Sigur Ros
Manic Street Preachers,
Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band,
Elbow,
Gossip,
Spiritualized,
Mercury Rev,
The Coral (acoustic),
Paolo Nutini,
Asobi Seksu,
Gomez,
The Young Knives,
Passenger

How immense is that? Precisly. Looks like one of the best festivals this year, quite honestly.

If I were you, come payday on Friday I’d get a weekend ticket, which are priced £120 and weekend tickets with camping are £140. To buy, log onto their website or call Ticketmaster on 08444 999 990

Red Hot Art Needs Your Help!

We need your help promoting for this year’s festival! We will be meeting Sunday, May 25th from 11am to 2pm at Stevens Square Center for the Arts for one last go at flyering. In order to make sure all of our bases are covered, we will assign small teams to each area of the city and give you posters, flyers and postcards to distribute. This will be a great way to explore a new neighborhood while spreading the word - please shoot me an email (at sarah@redhotart.org) if you can make it that day, and please recruit as many other helpers as you can! If you are unable to make it on the 25th but would still like to help, let me know and I can send you a digital file of the flyer to print off and distribute on your own accord. Thanks again! Sarah
