Seal 2009 Tour Continues

Grammy award winner Seal started a North American tour stretching across a bunch of cities in the continent. The singer and songwriter is performing at theaters and concert halls this spring. The tour launched on the 31st of March in Minneapolis. In May the singer will tour the cities of New York, Biloxi, Albuquerque, and Los Angeles. The tour also includes a two day stop in Canada. The tour follows the singers’ latest album – Soul – which was released in November last year. The album consists of 11 classical soul songs including – it’s a Man’s Man’s World, Here I Am, Stand By Me and many more. So be sure to watch out for Seal this spring.

The Toadies Spring 2009 Tour Launched

The spring tour of the Fort Worth rockers the Toadies is scheduled to span over two months and cover 28 cities across the US continent. The group got underway on the 1st of April in Amarillo, TX. The first ten days the band performs across Texas, which also happens to be their home state, following which they will move to the West Coast. The tour will end in Washington, on May the 29th, after taking an eastern turn.

The tour supports the Toadies latest album – No Deliverance – which hit the stores, last summer. The band which was formed in 1989 got disbanded in the year 2001. The album No Deliverance marks their return as a band, definitely something their fans had been waiting for.

All-American Rejects 2009 Tour Is Beginning

The famous American pop-rockers band, the All-American Rejects, is ready with their month long world tour known as – I Wanna Rock. The first show of the band is going to be at Albuquerque, NM, where the tour will kick off on the 5th of April. The band is going to perform at 18 destinations, which also include college campuses of the Midwest and East Coast.

The tour follows their latest studio album – When the World Comes Down – which was released in December last year. The band sets the mood right for the tour by promising it to be up close and personal. The band’s frontman, Tyson Ritter, hopes that all Rejects’ fans will brag about this tour for years to come.

Dates Added To Joe Cocker Tour 2009

Grammy award winner, Joe Cocker has extended his spring tour to two months, up till June. The Florida leg of the tour which includes Orlando and Pensacola, will kick off in St. Augustine on the 17th of April, after which Joe Cocker will perform at the New Orleans Jazz and Heriatge Festival. However, in May, the singer will move onto casino appearances. The tour will come to an end on the 15th of June in Dallas.

This tour follows the singer’s latest album – Hymn For My Soul – which reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s Christian chart in the spring of 2007. The set along with material by Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan and others, also features Cocker’s version of the Beatles. So this spring, be sure to witness Joe Cocker performing LIVE.

U2 360 Tour in 2009 Announced

The Irish band U2 has announced the initial dates for a grand stadium tour which they call as “U2 360?. The American leg of the tour will kick off on the 12th of September in Chicago at Soldier’s Field. Before this the band will be seen across 14 cities in the European continent. As for now, the tour has been confirmed for four cities in North America – Chicago, Toronto, Boston and New York. The band plans to extend their tour to other cities including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, British Columbia, Washington D.C. and many more. The latest album of U2 – No Line On The Horizon – is ready to be released as a blockbuster and this tour is aimed at increasing its popoularity. Lady Gaga has hit the trail running with her ‘Fame Ball’ tour, which began on the 12th of March. The trek kicks off in San Diego with the pop star headlining a number of major US cities. The star will also make a three-day stop in Canada, before ending the tour on the 11th of April in Palm Springs, CA. The tour will promote her debut album – ‘Fame’, which which already has two singles in the Top 20. Lady Gaga has opened for the Pussycat Dolls in the past, as well as for the New Kids on The Block. Cliff Richards Announces Dates For 2009 Tour

Legendary singer and songwriter from England Cliff Richards is undertaking a tour in 2009 with his backing band ‘The Shadows.’ Starting September 23 at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, the tour visits a various venues across a number of countries including the US. The cities visited by the tour include London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow, Cardiff and Wembley and Manchester.

Born Harry Roger Webb, and knighted in 1995, Sir Cliff Richard has seen a number of ups and downs in his long career. Considered to be the English equivalent of the superstar Elvis Presley, Sir Cliff Richards has lived the rock and roll lifestyle to the hilt. Apart from musical performances, Cliff Richards and The Shadows have also appeared in six feature films including ‘The Young Ones,’ ‘Summer Holiday,’ ‘Wonderful Life’ and ‘Finders Keepers.’ The title song of the movie ‘The Young Ones’ turned out to be one of the biggest hits of his career until that time.

Bruce Cockburn Announces Tour In 2009

Famous Canadian singer/songwriter Bruce Cockburn has announced plans of a tour in April 2009 across a number of states in the US. The tour starts at Flagstaff, AZ on April 4 and visits 10 cities including Beaver Creek, CO; Santa Fe, NM; Grand Junction, CO and Salt Lake City, UT before ending at Ann Arbor, MI on April 20.

Bruce is conducting the tour in support of his latest album ‘Life Short Call Now.’ His 29th album, it was released in the summer of 2006 and features 12 songs that he wrote during and after his 2004 fact-finding mission to Baghdad. The album contains a number of surprises including a 23-piece orchestra, something that Cockburn has not experimented with earlier. The album also features guest artists Ani DiFranco, Ron Sexsmith, Hawksley Workman and Damhnait Doyle. Cockburn had released ‘Speechless’ before his latest offering which made it to the Top 10 on Billboard’s contemporary jazz chart.

Allman Brothers Confirm Tour At Beacon In 2009

Launching the 40th anniversary celebrations, the Allman Brother Band are set to perform at Beacon Theatre in 2009. They perform a total of 13 shows at the recently renovated Beacon theatre in New York, NY. The Allman Brothers have performed at the Beacon 175 times since 1989. The current line up includes lead vocalist/keyboardist Gregg Allman, drummer/tympani player Butch Trucks, drummer Jaimoe, vocalist/guitarist Warren Haynes, guitarist Derek Trucks, bassist Oteil Burbridge and percussionist Marc Quinones. They were recently honored at the Billboard’s Legend of Live Award last November.

The Beacon Tour this year marks the band’s return to performance show after a break of nearly 11 months, brought on by Gregg Allman’s Hepatitis C infection. Since his recovery, Allman rejoined the band’s tour in the fall of last year and also did a solo tour. The Allman Brothers Band has been immensely popular since the late 60s and continues to pull large crowds.

Fleetwood Mac Adds Dates To 2009 Tour

Legendary rock group, Fleetwood Mac are embarking on their first tour in five years starting March 1 at Pittsburg, PA. Originally slated to perform 16 shows, the band has added 7 more shows to their whirlwind itinerary. The tour hits cities in the US and Canada like Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Toronto, ON; New York, NY; East Rutherford, NJ and Ottawa, ON. The tour ends on March 26 at Toronto, ON.

The tour titled ‘Unleashed’ features a number of the Fleetwood Macs’ many greatest hits from over the course of their entire career. Considered one of rock’s most enduring and influential bands of our time, they have an impressive repertoire and some of everyone’s favorite numbers. The famous ‘Rumours’ CD is being re-released on Reprise Records in conjunction with the Unleashed tour. This CD/DVD boxed set contains previously unreleased tracks that were recorded during the making of the album.
