The show has been removed from First Avenue’s website but is still up on the Malajube Myspace page.

The rock show must go on so forgive First Avenue and check out the originally scheduled openers…

Cancellations galore

Source: theregoesthefear.com

Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky WilsonWhat is it with bands cancelling US tours at the moment?

The Kaiser Chiefs, White Stripes, Justin Timberlake and now The Noisettes have all cancelled and or postponed dates in the USA in the last 24 hours - all a bit strange.

Kaisers “want to work on new album“, White Stripes’ Meg has anxiety issues, Justin needs to rest his voice and has postponed two shows, and now the Noisettes plain and simply need a break.

One does wonder if it’s just ‘cos they’re wimps - a big tour scare them too much instead of the usual one night on three nights off of a British arena tour? (joke)

Mumm-Ra October Tour CANCELLED

Source: theregoesthefear.com

Mumm-RaNo sooner than Mumm-Ra have announced an October tour than they go and cancel it.

In a statement on their mySpace they say:

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have decided to cancel our October tour.

Now this isn’t because we are splitting up or anything like that. We just feel that the extra 3 weeks we would have by not doing it will give us extra time to focus on writing the second album. We don’t want to be on of these bands who take 2-3 years to release their next album. That just isn’t us. We want a quick turn around. We want to spend the winter months of 07 in hibernation writing and demoing songs. Record the album in the first few months of 08 and be back on our stereos with some new tunes by the start of summer.

We will still be doing the gig in Bexhill on the 31st, and also the gig in Romford on 29th Sept. And possibly a date in london as well.

Conspiracy theorists go wild on this one…
