New Kids on the Block Reunion Tour 2008

Fourteen years after they parted ways back in 1994, the New Kids on the Block are back with a new album due this fall. Also on their to-do list is their Reunion Tour, which kicks off mid September. British pop star Natasha Bedingfield will flag off the tour in Toronto on the 18th of September. Of 1988’s “Hangin’ Tough” and 1990’s “Step by Step” fame, the band had not played together for a decade and a half before they announced their reunion this April. The New Kids on the Block are considered to be the precursors to all teenage-heartthrob bands of the late 20th century such as the Backstreet Boys and Blue. Their new album’s lead track, Summertime, is moving up the charts at a fast clip. All of the band members have already hit 30 now, so whether they’ll be able to capture the same magic as earlier remains to be seen.
