Kid Rock Homecoming Tour of 2008 Expanded and Updated

Kid Rock, who is recently coming off successful tours of Europe and Canada, has expanded the plans of his upcoming tour by adding ten West Coast dates plus a fourth show in his birthplace, Detroit. This coincided with the re-entry into the top five of his latest album, “Rock N Roll Jesus”. The album has already been granted recognition as the Most Outstanding National Album at the 2008 Detroit Music Awards. In fact, the single All Summer Long, has become Kid Rock’s biggest hit to date, making it to the top in all the charts across the US and in Europe. The 37 year old rapper was joined by Lynyrd Skynyrd in the opening of the “Rock and Rebels” Tour, which was also featured on ABC TV’s Good Morning America (August 22nd episode).

Motorhead Tour of North America 2008

The British heavy metal band and Grammy award winner Motorhead is in the groove for its tour of North America which started on the 6th of august. This is a part of the METAL MASTERS tour which also features bands like Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell and Testament. This tour coincides with the release of the band’s new album ‘MOTORIZER’ which is expected to hit the shelves somewhere in September. With the completion of the Masters tour the band will start its tour of North America from 2nd September. The power trio of Lemmy, Phil Cambell and Mikkey Dee and always kept the audience on the edge of their seats and the same is expected from them time as well.

Hanson continues Tour in 2008

Hanson has set about to complete the good work it had started through the Walk in support of the people working against AIDS and poverty. To this end, Hanson brings about awareness in the fans by asking them to walk barefoot with the band for a mile before each concert, to simulate what an African child goes through each day. Hanson had begun the “Walk around the World Tour” in September last year, but the walk had to be suspended as Isaac had to go undergo surgery for a pulmonary embolism. The Walk resumed in May 2008. Formed by the three Hanson brothers, Issac, Taylor and Zac Hanson, Hanson first celebrated success through their debut album, Middle of Nowhere. The band celebrated its tenth anniversary last May.

New Kids on the Block Reunion Tour 2008

Fourteen years after they parted ways back in 1994, the New Kids on the Block are back with a new album due this fall. Also on their to-do list is their Reunion Tour, which kicks off mid September. British pop star Natasha Bedingfield will flag off the tour in Toronto on the 18th of September. Of 1988’s “Hangin’ Tough” and 1990’s “Step by Step” fame, the band had not played together for a decade and a half before they announced their reunion this April. The New Kids on the Block are considered to be the precursors to all teenage-heartthrob bands of the late 20th century such as the Backstreet Boys and Blue. Their new album’s lead track, Summertime, is moving up the charts at a fast clip. All of the band members have already hit 30 now, so whether they’ll be able to capture the same magic as earlier remains to be seen.

Nearly seventy years of age, and still bustling around with the energy of a spring chicken, Kenny Rogers has charted out a Christmas Tour, which gets on the road in November. The country music icon will travel across eastern US and a few Canadian provinces in the month of August, before his 27th annual “Christmas and Hits” tour, flagging off at Victoria, British Columbia on the 16th of November. The itinerary and dates of his upcoming tour are listed below. Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003, Kenny Rogers has been more than just a household name over the last fifty years and counting. Goldfrapp Set to Tour North America in 2008

The Grammy award nominated British electronic music group Goldfrapp is all set to tour North America. The band members Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory will start their six city tour of North America from September 12th in New York City. This tour closely follows the release of their new album “Seventh Tree” in February 2008. The album is getting rave reviews and was among the UK top five for around three weeks. The albums third single “Caravan Girl” was recently released on 30th June 2008. Other venues of the tour include Vancouver, San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles.
