Two Zeppelin tickets make $170,000 in charity sale

Source: ticketblogger.blogspot.com

LONDON (Reuters) - A man from Glasgow paid 83,000 pounds ($170,000) for a pair of tickets to a one-off Led Zeppelin reunion gig in London on December 10, according to the BBC which organized the charity auction.

Kenneth Donell was the winner of Thursday’s sale held by radio host Terry Wogan for the Children in Need charity. Over the last four days, the auction has raised 894,000 pounds, the BBC added.

Several million fans tried to buy tickets to the Led Zeppelin reunion gig at London’s O2 arena, which had to be postponed after guitarist Jimmy Page broke a finger.

The tickets went on sale at 125 pounds each, although they are trading at several times that on the online auction site http://www.ebay.co.uk/.

In addition to watching the concert, Donell will also be allowed to watch Led Zeppelin rehearse the day before and take home a signed memento from the 1970s rockers.

On Wednesday, Martin Ainscough from Wigan paid 250,000 pounds to have Aled Jones and Katie Melua perform a private gig in Manchester.

The Children in Need charity initiative culminates with a fundraising television show on Friday.

The first rock band Chris played in was called Cowboy Curtis, and now the original line-up of Cowboy Curtis are starting a new band with new songs.

This dude has also shared upright duties in The Pines as seen in the picture below, as well as for both Mason & Matt Jennings.

Van Halen continues to add shows to tour

Source: vipticketblog.com

Rock ‘n Rollers Van Halen who are on their current reunited tour have added some more shows to their tour.  They will now be stopping in Oklahoma City, Omaha, Houston, and Ft. Lauderdale.  If you are close to one of these four cities give it a shot when tickets go on sale this Saturday.  Tickets will sell out fast, so try getting them as soon as possible.

We have been hearing good reviews from the current tour.  They are putting on a good show, not as good as in the past, but you can expect that when they haven’t been out on the road in so long.  We say give them a shot, and then come back and leave a comment on what you thought about the tour!

Buy Van Halen Tickets from StubHub!  Where fans buy and sell tickets!
