Van Halen continues to add shows to tour

With several shows on its upcoming tour already sold-out, Van Halen has added a couple of dates and changed its schedule a little bit.The rock gods, who have reunited with original frontman David Lee Roth after 22 years, will kick off their North American outing Sept. 27 in Charlotte, NC. Since last check, they’ve slotted in shows Oct. 5 in Uncasville, CT, and Nov. 29 in Fresno, CA, and made their finale a Dec. 16 gig in San Jose, CA.
Though Roth is back in the band, Van Halen will not be returning to the road with its original lineup. Guitarist Eddie Van Halen’s 16-year-old son, Wolfgang, will take the place of original bassist Michael Anthony, who’s been playing regularly with former VH frontman Sammy Hagar. In fact, Hagar and Anthony are heading out in October for a tour that will feature a set of Van Halen material.
