Van Halen sells out quick and adds more shows

After last weeks announcement that David Lee Roth was coming back with Van Halen and that they would be touring next month and into December, Van Halen fans quickly purchased and sold out many arenas that has prompted the management to add more dates and shows in bigger arenas.
According to tour promoter Live Nation, the band’s previously announced stops in Charlotte, NC; the Detroit area; Toronto; the Chicago area; and Philadelphia sold out shortly after tickets hit the box office. The group has since booked a second show at Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center, a new stop at Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena, and the tour’s first Washington, DC, date. Tickets for the Philly and Detroit shows are scheduled to go on sale Saturday (8/25), while those for the Washington performance will roll out Friday (8/24), according to a press release.
