On Thursday, September 6, 2007 Dave Matthews Band along with John Mayer, Phil Vassar and Nas will join together in “A Concert For Virginia Tech,” at the university’s Lane Stadium. DMB and the other artists call the event a celebration of life and a tribute to the resiliency and strength of the Virginia Tech community. Coming at the beginning of the 2007-2008 academic year, the concert was conceived as a way to help students, faculty and other members of the community move forward in the aftermath of the April events at Virginia Tech.

Turin Brakes play intimate pub gig

Source: theregoesthefear.com

Turin BrakesTurin Brakes have announced that they’ll be playing a one off free gig at Camden’s Lock Tavern this Sunday (5th August).

Turin Brakes will be joined by Adele, the hotly tipped Londener garnering lots of publicity recently via the likes of NME and blogs. Stateless, The Concretes, Bobby Cook and Lisa Moorish will all be DJing as well (whoever they may be…).

Doors open at 1pm, with Turin Brakes on shortly before 10pm. What better way to enjoy your Sunday after the Innocent Festival than an evening in the pub with Turin Brakes? Precisly, I thought you’d agree, there isn’t a better way.
