Country singer Sara Evans will work a slate of her own headlining dates around her intermittent support duties for Kenny Chesney Flip Flop Summer Tour.The Nashville-based singer will kick off her own run of shows June 21 in Rockford, IL, with headlining dates scheduled for 18 cities through mid-September. Evans backed Chesney’s June 9 appearance in Pittsburgh, and will do so an additional five times this summer, with the next opening date for the country megastar coming June 23 in Philadelphia.

Country star Clint Black is filling in his tour itinerary with US dates that take him through mid-November.The singer/songwriter continues his ongoing trek this month with festival shows in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and casino gigs in Nevada. Then he’s off to Texas and Pennsylvania next month and
California in August. Black’s fall schedule gets busier, with a steady stream of shows all over the country from September through November, plus a stop in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

This week’s NME is reporting that Arcade Fire have planned their biggest ever UK shows in October and November, including some of their first arena shows. Bringing a bit of culture to the huge arenas will be a challenge which I’m sure they’ll rise to.

They’ll be playing:

Glasgow SECC (Friday October 26)
Manchester MEN Arena (Saturday October 27)
Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (Monday October 29)
Cardiff International Arena (Tuesday October 30)
Nottingham Arena (Wednesday October 31)

As many people are aware, The White Stripes are headlining the first night of the O2 Wireless Festival in london on Thursday night next week, and then Leeds on the Friday night. However, as a warm up for this they announced today that they’ll also be playing a one off date in London on Tuesday night at the Rivoli Ballroom as a warm up.

Profits from the performance will go to the Chelsea Pensioners’ Appeal and The London Pearly Kings And Queens Society.

Tickets go on sale on Monday morning at 10am reportedly from see tickets and livenation outlets.

Wilco will make their return to Minnesota’s north shore for their 2nd time in just over a year, following last year’s fantastic show at the DECC. This time outdoors at Bayfront Festival Park. It’s not part of the Blues Festival however, it’s a day or two after that ends. If they don’t hit up the Twin Cities a day or two before, expect a proper Twin Cities show in September or October.

Alt-Rock singer/songwriter Fiona Apple, and progressive bluegrass band Nickel Creek will play a bunch of concerts together in August 2007. Fiona Apple, and Nickel Creek collaborative tour consists of 13 dates, kicks off August 2 in Baltimore (MD), and wraps up August 19 in Westbury (NY). The artists will visit Charlotte (NC), Columbus (OH), New York (NY), Rochester (NY), Boston (MA), Philadelphia (PA), and other US cities. It will become a part of bluegrass outfit’s ‘farewell’ tour, as Nickel Creek previously announced that the trio stops activity this fall. Fiona Apple is touring in support of her 2005 studio work Extraordinary Machine. In July Nickel Creek will also play several shows without Fiona. The awesome Irish indie rock band Ash will will warm up for their set at Isle of Wight Festival with a performance at the Year Zero club night at Camden’s Proud Gallery.

They’ll be supported by The Films and Goldspot.
