No Barry Bonds In The All Star Game?

Source: ticketblogger.blogspot.com

Barry Bonds could become the home run king and fail to appear in an All-Star Game in his own home park in the same season. Although he’s slowly closing in on Hank Aaron’s career record, Bonds dropped into fourth place this week among National League outfielders in voting by fans, who will select the eight starters.
Players will elect eight more position players and eight pitchers for the game on July 10 in San Francisco. Then St. Louis manager Tony La Russa, in conjunction with the commissioner’s office, will select four pitchers and three nonpitchers. And La Russa isn’t saying what he might do if Bonds, a 13-time All-Star, is left out by players and fans.
“I’m not going to get into whether Barry Bonds is in,” he said yesterday. “He might get voted in.” (ASSOCIATED PRESS)

Ticket alert: Enter Shikari and Snow Patrol festival

Source: theregoesthefear.com

Enter ShikariTwo final announcements for this weeks on sales at Friday, 9am.

Enter Shikari have announced that they’ll play Brixton Academy, which they’ll surely sell out and have to add more dates for. They were only the second unsigned band to sell out the Astoria, so surely they’ll sell out Brixton now that they’ll have an album out too?

Secondly, those Irish bedwetters Snow Patrol have announced their own, one off festival in Ward Park Playing Fields, Bangor, County Down in Northern Ireland, which was where Gary Lightbody and Jonny Quinn grew up. They’ll be supported by Ash, The Dead 60’s, Simply Kid, Kowalski and finally We Are Scientists. Sounds like a fab festival. Oh, except Snow Patrol are headlining. Oh well, can’t have it all.
