Justin Timberlake And Rod Stewart’s Aeg Live Promoted Concert Tours Are The Top Ticket Sellers Of 2007

Url: http://www.aeglive.com

AEG Live has scored the top two worldwide ticket-selling tours of 2007 with Justin Timberlake’s 2007 FutureSex/LoveShow tour topping the chart with 556,245 tickets sold and Rod Stewart’s "Rockin’ in the Round" 2007 North American tour placing second with sales of 371,277. Justin Timberlake’s tour kicked off in San Diego, California on January 8th, 2007 and completed a 38-concert run on March 29th. Justin’s second U.S. leg kicks-off August 6th in his home state of Tennessee. Rod Stewart’s 61-city concert tour began January 12th and continues through May 19th in New York. AEG live successfully promoted three of the top five concert tours with High School Musical scoring the #4 spot with 324,765.

Remarked Randy Phillips, President & CEO, AEG Live: "The philosophy of AEG Live, starting with the acquisition of Concerts West six years ago, was to always put the artist’s interests first and only good results will follow. The men and women who make up Team AEG (Concerts West, Goldenvoice, The Messina Group, Atlanta Worldwide Touring, Moore Entertainment, Marshall-Arts, U.K., AEG Live Regional Offices, AEG Live Festivals Division, AEG Live International, and our much honored Facilities Division) share these tour successes through their enthusiasm for their jobs, the pride of offering an entire industry a strong alternative in the international touring space, and, quite simply, an unrelenting love of music."

The first quarter results of 2007 were announced today by Pollstar, the concert industry’s leading trade publication. Pollstar tracked concert industry data provided to them by concert promoters and venue managers from January 1 – March 31 of 2007.
