Last year’s biggest “buzz” band from the U.K. didn’t bother coming to our lowly town at all last year, but they will make up for it when they come to Minneapolis on May 7th for a show at First Ave with Nashville’s ‘Be Your Own Pet’, another great band in their own right.Now i’ll be the first to admit that i didn’t really buy into much of the Monkeys hype, and even though their record had a few pleasant tracks, just didn’t really hit me like i’d hoped, I’ve heard nothing but great things about their live shows, so I will definitely have to check the show out.
Their 2nd album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, comes out on April 23rd.
